Beaches in Montenegro

Within walking distance from the Apartments UTJEHA, there is the beach of Utjeha. Many people say that this beach is a real treasure because there is an olive tree-lined path going up to outback. It is famous for its beauty, sunny hours and clean sea water, in which drinking water springs mix with the salt water and creates unusual light shades of turquoise.

The beach has a length of 800 m and consists of white pebbles. Beach umbrellas and sunbeds can be rented at the beach.

13km of sand - A paradise not only for children

The Velika Plaža (Long beach) is a natural phenomenon of beauty and abundance. It is 5 km away from Ulcinj, 13 km long, 60m wide, so the locals call it "Copacabana of Ulcinj". It spreads out from Djerane Cape to Ada Bojana. It is covered with the finest sand (the diameter of a grain is 0.1-5mm) and it is estimated that its capacity is 15 000 people. The quality of the sand is such that is has medicinal features. It is rich with minerals, good for those suffering from rheumatism and other illnesses.

The Velika plaža is distinctive for a long shallow belt of sea water with its ideal swimming conditions also for children.

Various sports equipment can be rented at the beach. You can sail, surf, water ski, play football or volleyball on the sand, or just relax.

You can reach the Velika plaža from the apartments within 10-15 minutes easily by car. Sufficient parking for cars is available there as well.
