Birdwatching (Birding) in Montenegro
The sea water saltworks of Ulcinj (Ulcinjska Solana) in Montenegro is one of the most important places for bird watchers (birding) and ornithologists from all over Europe:
Over 240 species of birds (half of all registered in Europe) can be found all year round here. Among them are rare species, such as Pelicans, cormorants and flamingos.
The Saline serves numerous migratory birds as a resting place. In spring it is a transit point for 40,000 birds per day.
NEW: In the salina, bikes are available - so the whole area can be easily visited and admired.
